The search continues throughout Durban for
the next lucky group of models to take part in the eThekwini Municipality
Durban Fashion Fair (DFF).

The roadshows, known as the Durban Fashion
Fair Regional Model search will conclude at Botanic Gardens on 1 June.
Models between the ages of 18 and 35 years
who reside in any eThekwini regions can apply for this opportunity.
The Municipality’s Fashion Development
Programme provides this training under the banner of the flagship DFF which
provides opportunities for those in the fields of clothing and textile and
related value chains.
The models selected will receive
two-months training facilitated by industry experts on modelling etiquette and
lectures to get them prepared for the ramp and industry. They will further get
the opportunity to walk on the catwalk wearing the creations of local designers
during the iconic DFF later this year.
Requirements:
Female
models:
Minimum height – 1.75m without heels.
87cm – 95cm hip measurement.
Must wear body fitting clothing and bring
heels to the casting. Jeans not allowed.
Male
models:
Minimum height – 1.84m.
Trouser size 30 to 32.
Must wear fitted T-shirt or shirt and
closed shoes or trainers to the casting.
Must be in good physical shape.
Fully
figured female models:
Minimum height – 1.75m without heels.
38 to 42 trouser size measurement.
Must wear body fitting clothing and bring
heels to the casting. Jeans not allowed.
Advised to wear minimal makeup.
Final dates for the DFF Regional Model
search roadshows:
25 May, KwaMashu F Hall, North
1 June, Botanic Gardens, Central Business
District
They all begin at 9am.
Compulsory documents to bring onsite for
castings include a copy of your ID to verify age and proof of residence.
