Artisan Gallery Invites you to a Art Exhibit

"Four decades and still going strong"

An exhibition of new work by John Smith

2013 marks 40 years as a career artist for JOHN SMITH for whom art is not just a job but a way of life. He is active in every aspect of his chosen field, always a champion for the betterment of the lot of artists and the upliftment of artistic standards.

Well known for the strong, glowing colours of his oil paintings, landscapes and harbour scenes, he also paints a wide range of other subjects in watercolour and pastel. As a writer, he has been published regularly in newspapers, magazines and on the internet, as well as being on the editorial team for SA Artist Magazine.

Feisty, undaunted and outspoken, he is a versatile and gifted artist whose work has steadily increased in value over the years.

The exhibition will be opened by well known personality Harry Lock, and will run until 20th July.

Auditions for a Film

This is a student based production and they just have a budget for transport and catering.
They are looking for white males, namely, a young white man in his 20's, a elder man in mid 40's 
and an early 50's or 40's white man.

Auditions Friday, 7 June at CFAD - 183 Problem Mkhize Road (Former Cowey Rd)  11am - 3pm.

More Auditions

Twist Theatre Development Projects is looking for a white, male actor aged 40 - 60 to participate in the annual Novel-Script Project in Grahamstown.  The project involves readings of scripts as part of a writer's master-class.

They are looking for a versatile character actor with excellent English, as well as an ability to do an Afrikaans accent.  Actors must be available from23 - 29 June.  Transport and accommodation are paid for, and a fee is offered for participation in the project.
 
Interested actors are asked to email a photograph and short, 1-page CV to info@twistprojects.co.za by Wednesday 5 June.  Applicants will be contacted by Friday 7 June.
